I’ve found myself able to carry what I need, without too much ‘flab’. All shall be revealed in due course..

As for Lidl fishing vests, you have my total respect Paul, that’s a cracking find! It’s great to see tackle like that in use, particularly given the incredible consumerism of fishing and the likes of 150 quid vests made by some companies..

Great post.
My fishing vest cost me £7 in LIDL. Its done me for a few seasons and i hope to get a few more out of it.But those chest packs do look pretty sexy…………

Really nice post. I think lots of us have gone down this evolution. Getting on with my Williams Joseph pack really well, although it does not help you to go minimal. Something to be said for just having one spool of tippet, a few flies in an old tin and a small bottle of Fuller’s Earth. But then that’s probably just an “old Uncle Remus” pipe-dream!
