…thesis delight. I finally submitted my thesis on monday, after possibly the worst 3 months of my life. A pain beyond anything I encountered as an undergraduate… Anyway, it’s finished now, just in time for the end of the trout season. Timing is clearly a specialty of mine. I am planning on some pike and grayling fishing as soon as I can, so look out for actual real fishing posts coming soon…

only the viva to go now I guess
Congrats on submitting the thesis. -
Excellent stuff Mike. What a burden to get rid of. And vivas are a piece of proverbial – usually.
Imaginary Grayling here you come! -
Hi Mike
Congrats on finishing your thesis. A great achievement that deserves to be rewarded with a trophy – a large, wriggling, slimy one!
Gies a shout if you fancy meeting up for the grayling. I’m keen to fish more for them this winter, even if they do drive us mad.cheers

Mike, Alan here, well done on completing the thesis, i remember the hell when i was doing mine. You would be most welcome to join Alex and i on our grayling trips this year, the river we fish is exceptionally productive , with a good chance of a 3 lb’er or much larger. I have spotted fish in excess of 4lbs solitarily feedingin the margins. The season starts 1st December, drop me line, Alistair and Alex have my e-amil address.
