The Cobbler and His Mist

Took a small stroll up to the Cobbler at the weekend. He really is a belting hill, full of misty intrigue in the right (wrong?) conditions. Towers of rock seem to leer out of the swirling cleg. It’s all-encompassing, fascinating, a true hill-personalty.

    I remember climbing the Cobbler with a group of VPS lads some 40 years ago. Being slightly mad, we roped up and climbed the ‘steep’ side at the top. Good to see your pictures. B & W demonstrates the atmosphere well. Keep climbing.

      Sounds like a blast! Didn’t realise you were a mountain adventurer as well. I’m hoping to do some climbing on the Cobbler myself sometime soon.
